Meanwhile, the rural police has stepped up its anti-drug campaign by extending the Kochi city police’s ‘Udayam’ campaign to its limits. The aim of the campaign is to prevent drug abuse among youth and students. The year-long campaign was launched in Aluva on Thursday (October 30) by Industries Minister P. Rajeeve.
Information sessions have been planned for students, parents and teachers as part of the Udayam campaign. The program will run concurrently with the rural police’s Mission Punarjani initiative, which aims to curb drug abuse among migrants.
