RTIH invites applications for the Rural Entrepreneurship Fellows Program

Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) has invited applications for its RTIH Rural Entrepreneurship Fellows Program aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and livelihood opportunities in rural areas. The scholarship program will be implemented in Guntur, Kakinada, Chittoor and Maredumilli-Polavaram (Rampachodavaram) regions.

A statement issued on Tuesday under the program said the selected fellows will work closely with rural youth, women, farmers, self-help groups and micro-entrepreneurs to encourage entrepreneurship and support livelihood development initiatives.

RTIH said the program seeks to strengthen innovation at the local level and create sustainable economic opportunities in rural communities.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates with degree in any discipline, knowledge of Telugu and English and working knowledge of MS Office are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in rural business, rural development programs or community engagement activities.

Selected members will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000. In addition, they will gain hands-on experience with local business initiatives, mentoring from experts, and the opportunity to participate in rural development and innovation programs. This scholarship is expected to provide young professionals interested in social and economic development with valuable field experience and leadership skills.

RTIH officials said the program is designed to nurture a new generation of rural development leaders capable of driving innovation and entrepreneurship at the local level.
