Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy said that as a measure to reduce the growing number of accidents concerning road transport buses (RTC), “technical department officials, divisional controllers and units managers concerned will be responsible for accidents caused by technical problems”.
On Monday he spoke after the release of 2286 Bengalur Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
He remembered, providing a 25 ₹ Lakh driver who lost his leg in an accident, said he realized that no money could return his happy life. He advised drivers to control with greater patience, caution and responsibility. “Operators should persuade drivers to reduce speed and be careful,” he said.
“In some cases, the condition of buses/technical errors may be the reason for the buses accident. We should also pay attention to the negligence and negligence of officers and supervisory staff of the technical department. Division, division, division administrators and units concerned, “he said.
