Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramark Mallu, Chairman of the Legislative Council, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Minister of Transport in Surypet on Monday 9 June.
Deputy Minister Bhatti Vikramark Mallu claimed that Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), once on the verge of collapse during the BRS regime, is on the way to profitability under the government of Congress.
At a public meeting at the Suryapet Bus Depot after the start of 45 electric buses together with the Minister of Transport Ponnam Prabhakar, the representative of the main minister claimed that the previous government had proposed to terminate RTC, but the “People’s Government” strengthened it.
Mr. Vikramarka said that the success of the Mahalakshmi scheme, which provides free travel for women throughout the state, ensured that RTC was pushed into profits. Unlike the fear that the free travel system would load RTC, he actually revived the corporation, he said. “Since the start of this program, RTC has issued 182 tickets for zero price of CRORE and the government has paid RTC on behalf of women on behalf of Women’s 6,088 GBP Crore,” he said.
Mr. Vikramarka said that for the Suryapet depot, 79 buses with batteries and 45 buses in a single day were “historical step”. He appreciated Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar and gave him 2,800 battery buses to the Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road.
Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar said that in the last 10 years the only bus or work filled with RTC has not been added. But now the government has introduced environmental transport, which added thousands of new buses.
