The duty of the king is to protect people and the king must fulfill his duty, the head of Rashtriya Swayamsewak (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat said on Saturday after a terrorist attack of Pahalgam, in which 26 people were killed. Mr. Bhagwat criticized Pakistan for his “bad act”.
He spoke in Delhi to launch a book, a Hindu Manifesto, written by Swami Vigiananand, a senior official Vishwa Hindu Parisad and the initiator of the World Hindu Congress.
“Our dharma is that we must not beat the tyrants and we have to teach the Goon lessons,” said the head of the RSS, adding, “The royal task is to protect people and must fulfill their duty.”
Mr. Bhagwat said he said the example of Ravana of Epic Ramayana and said he was known to have all the qualities to become the “best” king, whether as a great manager or a follower of Shiva or in a scholarship. Ravana had everything, but he had to die because he didn’t use these qualities for good, he said.
“It was known that you are doing anything, Ravan could not be made by a good person. Then only one option remained-that his current body should be destroyed to get another soul and body. That is why God killed him and this killing is not violence, it is just non-violent,” said Mr. Bhagwat.
“The Indian nature is non -violent … Our non -violent is to change people. It’s to make people nonviolence …. but some people can never change. Bhagwat said.
He also talked about how Bhagvad Gita said that Arjun had to kill his brothers because it was “the only way out” for them.
