Kings Panjab gave a great affecting Mitchell Owen his debut IPL, while Rajasthan Royals brought Kwen Maphak to replace Jofra Archer. Owen was signed as a replacement for injured Glenn Maxwellwhich was expelled from the rest of the IPL 2025 campaign.

Owen made his name during BBL 2024-25, scoring 452 runs out of 11 matches on average 45.20 and a strike rate of 203.60.
