RR vs MI Live Score, IPL 2026: The draw of the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians was delayed due to persistent rain on Tuesday. The draw was scheduled to take place at 19:00 local time.
“Next update will follow when the rain stops,” wrote the official IPL X handle.
Hosts Rajasthan are unbeaten this season, winning both their matches, while Mumbai Indians enter the contest after a win against Kolkata Knight Riders and a loss to Delhi Capitals in their previous match.
The former champions have a strong batting line-up with an aggressive opening pair of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Additionally, skipper Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel provide support in the middle order. Their fast bowlers led by Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger have also done well with the new ball.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians are heading into the match after a setback against Delhi Capitals. The five-time champions had a mixed start, securing a win over Kolkata Knight Riders but struggling with consistency overall.
Currently sixth in the table, MI will be eager to bounce back with captain Hardik Pandya likely to return to the playing XI. The addition of Mitchell Santner strengthens their spin department and provides better balance, allowing this side to field a three-pronged Indian attack alongside Trent Boult.
Both teams look evenly matched on paper and set the stage for a competitive clash in Guwahati. While Rajasthan will be looking to extend their winning streak and cement their position as top contenders, Mumbai will be looking to regroup and get their campaign back on track.
Mumbai Indians bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has confirmed that captain Hardik Pandya will be available for the team’s match against Rajasthan Royals.
Pandya missed the previous match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, which MI lost by six wickets, due to illness. He returned to the nets in Guwahati on Sunday evening, bowling and batting fluently.
“He will be available. He had a good few hours of clean sessions yesterday so he is fit and fine. He was not injured, he was not well, that is why he missed the game,” Mhambrey told the pre-match press conference.
Pandya’s absence in the last match forced MI to reshuffle their combination as South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch replaced Trent Bouult while Deepak Chahar also came into the side.
“Well, I think that’s something you’re going to have to take care of. Injuries are something you can’t control. But I think we’ve got the squad, we’ve got enough guys to mix it up and match up and look at surface combinations, but I think we’ve got enough guys to look around.”
“I think it was just a combination change. Obviously, Hardik gives you an option to bat and bowl – an all-rounder. Since he wasn’t available, we needed some sort of replacement to fill that role for us. It’s a purely tactical decision that we went with,” added Mhambrey.
MI are set to play an IPL game in Guwahati for the first time and one contest to watch will be RR fielding Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel against top paceman Jasprit Bumrah.
