
The strength of the Railway (RPF) of the Mysur Division gained lost passenger luggage, and in 2024-25 it returned to its rightful owners 197 times and the authorities hung the value of these items for 52.62 ₹ Lakh.
The recovery of lost luggage and their return to passengers takes place under the operation of Amanat all over the country.
In the Mysuru division, the RFP staff traced the lost luggage 197 times, the latest is 21 May, when RPF recovered and returned the vanity of the bag containing gold ornaments and electronic items worth 1,49,465 GBP on the passengers.
The edition said on May 21, 2025 Teja, the resident of Kadura, left her bag on the train no. 16589, while debating at the Kadur Station.
When Mrs. Teja realized she left behind her bag, she filed a complaint and the Escort RPF team immediately started searching on board and located the bag. Was handed over to the RPF post in Davangere.
After proper verification, things, including 15 grams of gold jewelry and two iPhone chargers, were returned to the justified owner next day.
Senior Division Commissioner, RPF Mysuru, J Sam Prasanth, appreciated the team’s efforts to get a lost bag and return to the justified owner. Mrs. Teja expressed gratitude RPF for his quick response.
