Kohli and Rohit left the tests in May this yearJust before England Tour, because the Indian team will start a new era with SHUBMAN GILL at the helm.
Boycott wrote in his column for Telegraph and said that Rohit was an excellent dough, but was not a natural athlete like Kohl and feels that the former Indian captain would fight in England as an opening with a ball that moved a lot in England.
“Rohit was a great Batsman. At best, a beautiful stroke player, but he won’t miss as much as Kohli, because his test record was more good than exceptional. Horit has never been a natural athlete like Kohli and knows that the opening of shifts in England can be quite hard because the new ball moves around more.
Why did Kohli leave the test cricket? Boycott explains
The English legend said Kohli’s retirement and Rohit damages the chances of India during England. Boycott feels that Kohli will be the biggest loss because he was their man’s body in all three formats of the game.
The former opener said that too much international cricket with high intensity could take a tax at Kohl and forced him to leave the tests.
“Retirement to Virt Kohli and Rohit Sharma hurts the chances of India beating England. Kohli is the biggest loss because he was their best Batsman and talent, what is so much talent. Draining,” Boycott said.
