Meanwhile, BCCI raised objections to the site for the upcoming Asian cricket council (ACC). BCCI, scheduled for July 24 at the bank in Bangladesh, has formally applied for a change in the place and may consider the withdrawal from the meeting if the venue remains unchanged.
“We have received several requirements and examine our possibilities. There are several boards that have no cricket tasks during this period and offered playing with India in this window,” said the best source in knowledge of development.
“For the prevailing circumstances and political shock in Bangladesh, it was not advisable to travel to the country. We officially informed ACC to move the next meeting instead of the next meeting,” added the source.
BCCI is likely to seek a government council
As for the upcoming Asia Cup, BCCI will be expected to look for the instructions of the Indian government as to whether it will continue with the UAE tournament.
According to the proposed schedule, the Asia Cup is to start September 5 with a high profile of India-Pakistan’s clash scheduled for September 7.
“The proposal for the Asia Cup, which is to be played in the UAE, has been developed before the attack of Pahalgam. The situation has changed since then, so whether the government is saying we are following,” said the highest source.
This year’s ASIA CUP will be played in T20 format and will serve as a preparation for the World Cup T20, which India will host at the beginning of next year.
