India named SHUBMAN GILL as the new Captain Odi for the three-match series, starting on October 19 in Australia. Former captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were also appointed in the group, the main selector Ajit Agarkar announced after a meeting in Ahmedabad on Saturday 4th October.
In a large call, India handed over the captain’s bracelet to Shaubman Gill. Shreyas Iyer was appointed more captain of the ODI team – the role that Gill played before his altitude.
