Nagar-Nellikuzhy’s work in the capital of Misnmola-Mayyankali Nagar-Nellikuzhy in the capital, which is expected to be launched, will bring a consolation to several families living near Amayizhanjan. The project includes a road starting from Misnmoola, which stretches to the bridge of Nelaikuzhy, with an approximate length of 1.5 km along the shore of the Amayizhanjan Canal.
The inhabitants of this area faced difficulties due to a road that has been in a state of disruption for a long time. AuthorickShaw drivers and food supply workers generally reluctant to go on the road. After local protests, the potholes were filled with sand, but the arrangement did not change.
Prone to floods
Corporation Road is prone to frequent floods due to its low -lying nature. In addition, the subsoil of the soil under existing roads was identified as clay, causing instability and damage. The department of public works was carried out by a detailed investigation of the soil subsoil. Based on the recommendation in the study, a work estimated at 4,95 GBP was designed.
The proposed work includes the removal of 50 cm of clay soil and its replacement of 50 cm of fresh soil, which will be compensated and compacted. The structure of the road will consist of multiple layers, including the granular partial base, wet mixture of macadam and the surface of the gasket. The estimate was included in the provision of side drainage to ensure the correct flow of rainwater and prevent floods. The rainwater provisions are also provided for the release of rainwater every 500 m.
