
Kadugodi police have registered an FIR against a scooter rider for allegedly threatening a car driver with a dagger following a road incident on Friday night.
The victim, identified as A. Reddy, shared the dashcam video and tagged the city police’s Twitter handle (X) to get the police involved.
Based on the video footage, a police constable from Kadugodi police station lodged a complaint. The accused was identified through the number plate of the scooter as Arbaz Khan.
The police charged the accused under the relevant provisions of the Arms Act and Sections 351, 352 and 126 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to the complaint, during a heated argument on the road, the accused pulled out a dagger, tortured the complainant, threatened him with dire consequences and threatened to kill him before fleeing the scene.
Police have launched a search operation to trace the accused and take further legal action.
