IMD releases yellow alerts for Delhi
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a yellow warning of thunderstorms, lightning and squalls in all Delhi districts on Monday and Tuesday 8 July.

The weather Observatory also released heavy rain warning for 15 days in several countries, including Delhi, Bombai, Dehradun, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, flood warnings, landslides, thunderstorms and city water until 9 July.
IMD said on Sunday that the monsoon riverbed at the average sea level was going through Surratgarh, Sirsa, Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Daltonganj, Bankura, Digha and from the southeast to the Bengal northeast Gulf. The upper air cyclonic circulation lies above the Himachal Pradesh and the adjacent panejab 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
Not only Delhi, Gujarat’s Ahmedabad also faced water problems, PTI reported.
Points of adipur and Gandhidham were also observed.
Meanwhile, the district of Gujarat’s Banaskantha faces serious floods for heavy showers, with Thrarad is one of the worst areas. IMD issued an orange alert of the district, predicted “very heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning and squalls.
A red warning was also issued, which included Surendraneagar, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwar, Porblendar, Rajkot and Sabarkantha.
