
New Delhi: After two consecutive defeats, Rajasthan Royals finally got his campaign IPL 2025 back on the track with a hard-fought six-run victory over Chennai Super Kings at the Barsapa cricket stadium in Guwahati on Sunday. Stand-in Captain Riyan Parag, who led the team in the absence of injured Sanja Samson, exhaled with relief when RR secured his first victory of the season.
Riyan, however, found himself in the center of the controversy after his gesture after the match in Guwahati.

After the match, employees of the land for selfie with the local hero approached him eagerly. Riyan stopped, acknowledged their request, and took a photo with him. But what followed left many stunned.
After clicking on the selfie, he threw his cell phone back to one of the employees instead of passing it.
The act did not sit well with fans on social media who criticized Riyan for his roughness and called a gesture of disrespect and unnecessary.
Riyan was also fined Rs 12 Lakh to keep slow excessive during the six -speed victory of Rajasthan Royals over Chennai Super Kings.
“Given that it was the first offense of his team’s season according to Article 2.22 of the IPL Code, which concerns minimal offenses of excessive speed, Parag was fined Rs 12 Lakh,” IPL said in an official edition.
After the Opener of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals lost the next 5th, Kings in Mullanpur in Mullanpur will take over.
