Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant has started his preparations for the Indian Premier League. Pant, who had a very tough time in the IPL last year, has turned to the legendary Yuvraj Singh to revive his T20 career.
Yuvraj, who has mentored Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh, is working with Pant at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai. A video of Pant batting with Yuvraj watching from the umpire’s position has gone viral on social media.

In the video, Pant is seen batting with a slightly open stance towards left-handers so that he can spread his hands a bit more.
AWFUL IPL FORM OF RISHABH PANT
Rishabh Pant scored just 269 runs in the Indian Premier League last season, his worst total since 2016. Pant’s figures would have looked even worse had he not hit a century in the tournament later.
The most expensive player in the history of the tournament Rishabh Pant led Lucknow Super Giants who looked like a confused outfit. The LSG team looked out of balance last season, finishing seventh in the tournament. Their striking batting line-up won them six matches, but the team simply did not have the depth to defend the totals.
Meanwhile, his poor form in the IPL coincided with his exclusion from India’s white-ball team. Yuvraj has had tremendous success in training the likes of Shubman, Abhishek and Prabhsimran who have gone on to great success in the league. Pant may be hoping that Yuvraj will do similar magic in his career too.
