
India Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant paid a touching honor to Nicholas Pooran when West Indies star announced his international cricket retirement from all the game formats. Pooran made a shocking decision at the age of 29, June 10, as it will now focus on playing only a franchise cricket around the world.
Honors come after his call to the treasure, the pants were the latest. During the IPL 2025 season, both men were in The Lucknow Super Giants and they seem to share a big bond. In the story shared on his Instagram profile, Indian goalie told Surran that he became his brand in an international cricket and welcomed him as a real teammate, friend and powerhouse in the game.
Pant congratulated the company Beran for his contributions to the cricket of West India and wished him success before his new way.
“You made your brand, bro – real teammate, friend and absolute powerhouse. Proud you shared the field with you. Congratulations on everything you did for cricket West Indies. I wish you nothing but success for the journey before us.
This season, Pooran was one of the stars for LSG with bat, scored 524 runs in 14 franchise matches. During this game, he hit an incredible 40 six to hit the five fifties. The hinge did not have a great campaign, even over a hundred in the final game against the RCB.
Poonan’s career with western India
Pooran has never played tests for West Indies, but one of their key players of white balls over the years. 29-year-old scored 1983 runs in 61 ODI and 2275 runs in 106 T20is. Pooran also Captain West Indies after he was appointed in 2022, but after the disaster of the World Cup T20 resigned.
