In a stunning display of power hitting under pressure, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Rinku Singh smashed four sixes in the final over to help his team post a competitive 155/7 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The left-hander’s heroics in the death overs turned what could have been a modest score into a fighting score, sending fans into raptures and a video of his breathtaking shots going viral.

Batting first, KKR found themselves in need of momentum to reach the final over at 129/7. Enter Rinku Singh who put on a masterclass in finishing. Unbeaten for a brilliant 83 off just 51 balls, he plundered 26 runs before the 20th through Digvesh Singh Rathi to move to 155/7. Sunil Narine stayed till the end with 4 off 6 but it was Rinku who stole the show with his fearless stroke.
The ending began with great drama. The wide was followed by a dot ball where Rinku checked the call-beind call after the ball bounced off his glove to Rishabh Pant’s pad and then to short leg. Even though Rinku knew he was over it, he still questioned the decision on the field only to lose control. Another wide soon followed, setting the perfect stage for the fireworks.

Rathi moved to the wicket and bowled a full toss past. Rinku swung violently and cleared the fence in the corner of the cow with ease. On the very next delivery, a full-tossed ball outside off met the same fate as Rinku crouched low and bowled it over long-on to complete the hat-trick of sixes. Four highs in a row lit up the ground as the crowd erupted. The last dot wrapped up the over but the damage was done, KKR had a total to defend.
