It seems that the tear between two Sunni factions inside Samastha Keraral Jamiyathul Ulamma deteriorates every day, even if attempts to induce Sunni unity in the name of WAQF protection.
Accused by the leader of the veteran Samastha Umar Faiza Mukkam against the Indian EU Muslim League (IUML) in connection with problems related to WAQF at various places in the state was latest on Friday in the ongoing throw -in between Fractions Iuml and Shajara.
Mr. Faiza, during the WAQF meeting, which took place near Farok College, Feroke, said the Muslim political party was responsible for several cases of WAQF land in the state. The party leaders tried to cover these lands. He mentioned the problem of Taliparamba WAQF as a classic example of involvement of the leaders of Muslim parties.
Mr. Faizy said that some Muslim political leaders would be injured when Samastha Keral Jamiyathul Ulama raises these lands. “But Samastha is not responsible for that,” he said.
Mr. Faizy also questioned the opinion of Farook College that the controversial land in Munambam is not WAQF. “It’s a pity of Farook College’s leadership,” he said, reminding them to behave with dignity. “If it’s a mistake, please fix it. Otherwise people will hit,” he warned.
Mr. Faizy’s comments have made a strong criticism of the Iuml circles, although the leaders avoided the reaction.

All eyes are on the WAQAF meeting of four Sunni groups that take place in Kaluor in Kochi, on Sunday, because this meeting is afraid that they are expanding the differences inside Samastha rather than the Pacific Tempers. The meeting is of historical importance and the result may be a milestone in the state’s Muslim policy.
Waqf met Dakshin Kerala Jamiyathul ULAMA iuml State President Sadikali Shihab Thang, who is also present about Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS).
The exclusion of Mr. Thangal from Kochi’s meeting apparently angry section in Samastta, which supports iuml and institutions such as the Islamic University of Darul Huda and the coordination of Islamic universities (CIC).
It was a meeting in Kochi, which was summoned by Kanthapuram AP Abobacker Musliar in 1989, which became a turning point in the Ap-EK Samastha division. The upcoming meeting of Kochi on May 4 brought a comparison with this key event, which caused interest in its potential impact.
