Citizens, Minister of Food and Consumers Nuendla Manohar said that six types of services related to the question of new rice cards have been made available in the WhatsApp system, and this can be used from May 15 by publishing the “Hello” report to – 9552300009.
Manohar, who addressed the media in his camp office in Tenali, said the above services (new rice cards, card division, address change, members, removal of members and handing cards) were offered at the Secretariats Department of 8 May. The government took steps to ensure free rice cards in the form of intelligent cards in June.
Mr. Manohar said that the Indian Election Commission (ECI) ordered in March 2024 to suspend new rice cards for general elections and subsequently this process was delayed due to the Supreme Court registration. The question of the new cards was renewed later after the completion of 95% gathering details about the recipients’ eCC.
The Minister also stated that the total number of rice cards in the state was 1.46.21 223, covering around 4.24.59 028 individuals and that 6,45,765 people, including children aged five and individuals over 80, were exempt from EKYC norm. Anyone who has successfully completed the EKYC process would receive new intelligent cards for intelligent allocation.
The individuals, unmarried individuals over the age of 50, are separated by spouses and the inhabitants of the orphans and transgender, could apply for rice cards. Artists receiving social security pensions and members of 12 tribes based in Kopc’s areas would be provided by special cards Antyodaya Anna Yojana.
