Revenue inspector killed like a truck on a bike

A 29-year-old revenue inspector attached to the office of KV Kuppam taluk near Katpadi in Vellore was killed after the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a truck on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as S. Kannan. Initial investigation revealed that the victim was returning to her house in Gudiyatham from KV Kuppam when the unidentified truck driver lost control of the vehicle and hit Kannan’s bike.

Police said Kannan was seriously injured. He was immediately rescued by other motorists and passers-by and admitted to the Taluk Government Hospital in Gudiyatham. But the doctors said he was brought dead.

A case has been registered by Gudiyatham city police.
