Targeting BRS leader T. Harish Rao, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy claimed that the establishment of an oil palm processing plant in Siddipet was aimed at benefiting farmers and not at any particular MLA.
Addressing a public meeting on Sunday, he noted that Siddipet constituency had been represented by members of a single family for several years and urged voters to give others a chance.
He made a major political statement stating that Siddipet would see a Congress MLA in the next assembly elections and become a minister. “My cabinet colleagues G. Vivek and Damodar Rajanarasimha would take up this responsibility.
He rejected accusations of discrimination in the distribution of funds and maintained that his government did not practice bias. “I do not discriminate. We work for the poor, not for political leaders. If there is a need to discuss discrimination, one should first compare how much funds were allocated to Kodangal in the past,” he noted.
