The Congress government has declared the Sadar festival as a state festival and is giving full financial support to its celebration as it wants to preserve Telangana culture and ensure future generations are proud of its legacy, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Sri Krishna Sadar Sammelan held at the NTR Grounds, under the auspices of the Sadar Sammelan Utsav Committee, on Sunday he recalled how culture and customs have catapulted the Telangana movement to new heights and festivals like these show the importance attached to animals in Telangana life.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described the Yadav community as a “symbol of trust and hard work” and praised them for their long-standing contribution to the formation and development of Telangana. The CM reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the Yadav community and promised due political recognition and opportunities.
He assured that the party will ensure that every individual gets the recognition and opportunity they deserve, hinting at the recent development where senior leader Anjan Kumar Yadav was not considered for the Jubilee Hills party entry fee. “If you have any problems, come to us and it is my duty to solve them,” he declared to applause from the crowd.
Mr. Reddy recalled that the Congress government has declared the Sadar festival as a state festival and is providing full financial support to its celebration. This did not happen during the BRS rule and shows the commitment of the Congress party to the Yadava community. Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav and Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav were the key people behind the festival. Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also attended.
