Continuing his tirade against BJP MPs from the state, especially Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy questioned why the BJP MPs are not pressuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve the projects submitted by the state government and extend aid to them.

Mr Kishan Reddy representing Secunderabad and other BJP MPs representing Chevella, Malkajgiri and Medak Lok Sabha are not actively involved in projects with the Centre. “Isn’t Mr. Kishan Reddy obstructing the projects?” he asked.

In particular, Mr. Kishan Reddy called the Prime Minister and the Union Ministers with whom he (Mr. Revanth Reddy) met during the days and presented statements and influenced them against giving consent.

While the BJP MPs were active in showcasing the Sabarmati, Yamuna and other riverfront projects, they spoke against the Musi rejuvenation project. “Don’t they have the responsibility to secure the required funds for the state?” wondered Mr. Revanth Reddy.

Reiterating his commitment to an understanding between the BJP and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), he said he was ready for a debate in the Assembly on the development work started by Mr Narendra Modi’s 12-year rule, the BRS’s 10-year rule and the two-and-a-half-year Congress rule. “We will discuss the implemented projects and funds secured from the centre,” he said.

Elaborating on the social security schemes being implemented by the Congress government after it took over, he advised Mr. Kishan Reddy and BRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao to come up with constructive suggestions to further streamline them. “Don’t hinder projects with your arrogance,” he said.

The chief minister warned that people were watching the secret links between the two parties. “BJP MPs will not return to Delhi (as MPs) if they continue their steps against the interests of the state,” he said.
