Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Telangana’s relations with the Center were improving despite the “non-cooperation of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy”, who he alleged was “facilitating state projects to be diverted to Gujarat”.
“Mr Kishan Reddy is creating roadblocks for our projects at the behest of BRS. Still, I have no intention of fighting with the Center and relations have improved despite the non-cooperation of this Union minister from Telangana,” he said.
The CM claimed that barring Mr Kishan Reddy, other Union ministers were cooperative and cited approvals like the ₹26,000 crore debt restructuring plan and the JBS-Shamirpet elevated corridor project where defense land was difficult to secure.
He further alleged that Mr. Kishan Reddy turned a blind eye to it and acted against the interests of Telangana as all potential industrial investments were diverted from the state to Gujarat on the orders of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Industries interested in investing in Telangana are being diverted to Gujarat. Mr. Kishan Reddy is only playing in Gujarat’s favor and hindering the growth of the state,” he claimed, alleging that this is happening because of his association with BRS leaders including KT Rama Rao.
He alleged that the Union Minister did not invite BJP leaders like Arvind Dharmapuri and Bandi Sanjay Kumar was forced to join the campaign at the end of the fag because of his strong anti-BRS narratives. “Where are UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma who are campaigning even in local elections? Why are such leaders not campaigning for Jubilee Hills Bypass if not for tacit understanding with BRS?” he asked.
Mr. Reddy added, “The BRS has already donated its organs to the BJP by committing political suicide in the last Lok Sabha elections. Now the BJP is paying back by supporting the BRS in the by-elections.”
