
On Thursday, the Ministry of EXTERNA (MEA) issued travel counseling for Indian nationals passengers to Pakistan and also asked Indian citizens to return first.
“Indian nationals are strongly recommended to avoid traveling to Pakistan. Those nationals currently in Pakistan are also recommended to return to India first,” Mea Advisory said.
Counseling comes as a result of a deadly terrorist attack in the district of Jammu and Kashmir 22 April, who killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists.

The statement published on the Mea website also stated that medical visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be valid until April 29, 2025.

Another key decision announced after the CCS meeting was to declare all the Pakistani army, which in India was attached as Persona Non Grata. They got a week to leave India. India also withdrew its defense in Pakistan and decided to reduce the number of employees on its high commissions in Pakistan.
“India will withdraw its own defense/navy/air advisor from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These contributions in the relevant high commissions are considered to be canceled. Five supporting employees of service advisors will also be withdrawn from both high commissions,” Mea said on Wednesday.

“Another reduction, which is to be made to 1 May 2025, will reduce the total force of high commissions to 30 of the current 55,” he added.
