M. Sivarasan came to Kerala about two decades ago from Tamil Nadu and made the state his home. His Malayalam is as good as that of a native speaker and he lives here with his family. But for the past week, Sivarasan has been struggling to find work as his livelihood has been affected by the shortage of LPG. An ironing street vendor, LPG shortage has hit Mr. Sivarasan hard.
“We use a small 5kg gas cylinder for cooking and I have not been able to get it for the last week. When I visit petrol stations to buy it, I am told they are out of stock. This has seriously affected my work,” said Mr Sivarasan, who lives in Kalamassery.
