Restoration work in the refinery-petrochemical complex of Hindustan Petroleum Rajasthan’s The Balotra district, which caught fire ahead of its inauguration earlier this week, is underway and expected to be completed in the next three to four weeks, the state-owned oil marketing company said in a social media post on Saturday evening (April 25, 2026).
It added that the crude distillation unit, which is the primary unit of each refinery, is expected to restart in the “second fortnight of May this year”, while the other secondary units are already in advanced stages of commissioning as planned.
