Gudalur Mla, PON Jeyeselan, together with other public members filed a proposal on Friday the District Collector Nilgiris and demanded steps to prevent negative interactions with people and animals in the region.

They claimed that carnivores focus on cattle belonging to farmers in this area and that animals killed six cattle heads last month. They also said that elephants were seen in Padanthorai.
He also claimed that the efforts to bring elephants to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) were “eye lists” and that there was not enough steps to solve the problem.
The petition also said that Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation (Tantea) and forest department did not maintain overgrown tea shrubs on their countries, led by wild game to the use of forested areas such as coverage and approaching residential neighborhoods. He demanded that the bushes be cleaned so that people have clearer lines of supervision to help avoid wild animals.
He called on the government to install trenches resistant to elephants and fences with comfort to prevent elephants from getting into human images. He also called for a replacement of 75,000 GBP to be immediately provided to farmers who would lose their cattle on wild animals and to be persecuted back to MTR.
Requirements come as a result of the death of a 70 -year -old woman in an elephant attack in Pandalur.
