Representative of the main Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin ordered officials on Tuesday to ensure synergy between government authorities while taking preventive measures with regard to monsoon. He chaired the meeting at the Secretariat and reviewed the steps taken by various departments and agencies to deal with the problems related to the monsoon in the city. He evaluated the drainage work on rainwater, restoration of waterways and watercourses and measures taken in areas where inundations were reported in 2024.
