The report of the Ministry of the Audit of the State Audit quoted cases where internal stamps are repaired after the examination of the results of violations of the rules at some universities associated with the University of Calicut.
Report 2022-23, which was sent to the university authorities on March 10, that the internal stamps were repaired on the basis of at least 22 applications submitted by students attending various courses.
According to the Exam Handbook Published in 2014, internal stamps/stamps of students should be displayed on notice boards about their relevant universities after certification of the director, head of the department and the relevant teachers. Students should have at least three days to file complaints if they exist. If no complaints are received, internal brands should be uploaded to the university’s website within a permitted time frame. The recorded internal marks should be re -displayed on the wall plates. Copies should be sent to the exam controller with authorization letters that confirm that internal brands were alerted by students and cross checks with original documents. No repairs should be allowed to be allowed to publish the results of the examination.
The audit report pointed out that the repair of internal brands against the provisions of the manual was not allowed. This resulted in further working loads for employees at the University of Pareeksha Bhavan.
In their response to these observations, however, the university officials stated that the repairs were carried out after the exams examined the original documents of the students and found in their requests that it was merit. The audit report found this answer unsatisfactory and ordered officials to take steps to ensure that such cases were not repeated.
