Liverpool, along with other Premier League giants like Arsenal and Chelsea, are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options by signing a new striker this summer.
Many Premier League clubs are expected to enter the market for a striker to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. For Liverpool, the need is particularly pressing due to Darwin Núñez’s underwhelming performances this campaign.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have joined the race to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, appears to have no future with the Italian club, and Napoli are open to selling him in the summer.
Arsenal and Chelsea have long been linked with Osimhen, but they now face competition from Liverpool, who are leading the Premier League table. The striker’s £62 million release clause is unlikely to be a deterrent for the financially robust Reds.
