Children who blur in the colors come to offer prayers in the Sri Tataiahgunta Temple on the first day of the folk festival “Gangamma Jatar” in Tirupati on Wednesday.
On Wednesday it was a rebellion of the colors in the temple of Sri Tataiahgunta Gangamma in Tirupati, when the devotion was blurred with coal, limestone and vermilion over their bodies to pay the deities on the first day of the folk festival “Gangamma Jatar”.
The deployment of strange costumes and makeup is a unique feature of this festival, which is usually told in the form of folklore. While the settlers monitor proceedings with a sense of respect, the locals who practiced this age tradition create a temple that dressed in strange costumes and clothing.
Meanwhile, questions about the functioning of the committee created by the State Government have been raised over alleged incorrectness. Civic authorities and police departments have taken sophisticated measures to deal with the crowd, control of the operation and distribution of Prasadam in the temple.
