
The Directorate for enforcement of the right was arrested by Ashok Kumar Pal, assistant to the Reliance of the Anil Ambani group in connection with the case of money laundering against Reliance Power, the officials said on Saturday HT Media.
Ashok Kumar Pal is the CFO and former director of Reliance Power. He was accused of being part of the alleged false bank of the company, guaranteeing the case of money washing.
CFO Reliance Power was arrested and taken into custody on the basis of the provisions of the Act on the Prevention of Money washing (PMLA), the officials said on the day.
Arrests stem from ED investigation against the group Anil Ambani, including Reliance Power Va £17,000 cases of fraud with the crore bank.

The Directorate for enforcement of the right began its search operations in more than 35 premises throughout the Mumbai and Delhi on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as part of the investigation of money laundering under the Money Washing Act (PMLA) into a reliance group of companies.
