Shamshabad police arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl at her home on October 18.
Police said the accused, a resident of Maddur village in Shabad, is a distant relative of the victim. The incident took place when the victim’s mother, a daily wage labourer, left for work leaving her daughter and son at home.
The girl later called a relative and told what had happened. When her mother returned, the incident was narrated to her, after which she approached the Shamshabad police.
