
Chief Minister Delhi Rekha Gupt finally spoke of the attack on her on Wednesday and said that such attacks could never break her spirit or to decide to serve people.
The attack on Rekha Gupt took place during a public hearing in her camp office in Civil Lines around 8.15 hours on Wednesday. Her office described her as part of a “well planned plot that killed her”.
Police officials said the attack was serious and could be life -threatening.

Rekha Gupta said in a long paper X that an attack on her during a morning public hearing was not “not only an attack on me, but a cowardly attempt to serve d and work for the well -being”.
“Such attacks can never break my spirit or my determination to serve people. Now I will be between you with even more energy and determination than before,” she said.
She also shared that she was in shock after the attack, but now she feels better. “I ask all my well -being so that they don’t turn around by meeting me. We’ll see you work again soon,” she said.
Gupta wrote that public hearing and solving people’s problems will continue with the same severity and determination as before. “Your trust and support are my greatest strength. I express my sincere gratitude for your immense love, blessings and good wishes,” she added.
About the accused
The man who attacked Rekha Gupta has a history of criminal activities and was previously booked by the Gujarat police in five cases, including the knife attack, the police said.
The police said the accused, Sakariya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai (41), from Gujarat Rajkot, was immediately detained after the incident and his past record was verified.
“We realized that he was previously booked in five different cases at the Bhaktinagar police station in Gujarat,” the source said.
Previously, it was booked under sections related to voluntarily causing injuries, causing injury to a dangerous weapon or means and, among other things, causing severe injuries.
