Pep Guardiola claimed to have told the city council in Manchester that he wants the team the size of the next season to decrease, otherwise leave the club. Guardiola said it was impossible to miss so many MatchDay players and want a stronger group next season.
During the victory of 3-1 over Bournemouth on Tuesday, May 20, Guardiola was forced to sit many players of the first team. Abdukodir Khusanov, Savinho, James McATee, Claudio Echeverri and Rico Lewis all missed the match on Tuesday’s 20 -member team and Guardiola said he didn’t want to leave so many players at home.

The Spanish tactic said it was impossible for him to tell players that they would have to watch the game of the stands.
“I said the club that I don’t want it (a larger group). I don’t want to leave five or six players in the freezer. I don’t want that. I’ll stop. I’ll do a shorter group, I’ll stay.
“It is impossible for my soul (say) my players in the grandstand (stands) that they can’t play.”
Guardiola said he could not train 24 players as a manager and many of them are not part of the game group.
“Maybe (for) three, four months we couldn’t choose 11 players, we didn’t have the defenders, it was so difficult. After people returned, but the next season it can’t be that way,” added a 54 -year -old man.
“As a manager I can’t train 24 players and every time I choose, I have to have four, five, six in Manchester at home because they can’t play. That won’t happen. I said the club, I don’t want to.”
Question for Club: Guardiola in the East of City
Asked if it means that the team will come from another, Guardiola said it was a question that the club would answer and not him. The Spaniard said he didn’t want a big group when everyone was fit.
“It’s a question for the club. I don’t want to have 24, 25, 26 players when they are all fit. If I have injuries, bad luck, we have several players for the academy and we do it,” Guardiola said.
The city will play its last Premier League 25. May against Fulham.
