Reacher 4 has wrapped filming
Based on the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child and starring Alan Ritchson, the action drama series has completed its fourth season and is now in the final stages of post-production.
In interviews promoting his film War Machine, Ritchson said that Reacher Season 4 is “by far the best season we’ve ever had” and that it will be released “this year,” locking the release into the 2026 window, though Prime Video has yet to announce an exact date.
Season 4 is expected to adapt the series’ 13th book, Gone Tomorrow, moving the story from the small-town setting of earlier seasons to New York.
In this story, Reacher encounters a woman who may be about to commit suicide on the subway, and what begins as a tense confrontation quickly escalates into a larger conspiracy involving shadowy groups and political figures. The new season will bring new characters while bringing back some familiar faces from previous chapters of the series.
Production reports say Season 4 is unusually action-packed even by Reacher standards, with roughly 30 fight sequences spread over eight episodes. Ritchson has described these scenes as some of the most physically demanding work he’s done for the show, and behind-the-scenes footage suggests the team went for a darker, earthier tone for this chapter.
The shift to New York and a greater emphasis on urban tension are intended to give the series a different visual and emotional feel than earlier seasons.
