
Atlys recently organized a special two -day event called The Re 1 Visa Sale 4 and 5 August. During this sale, Indian users could apply for a visa or a book on the visa meetings for Just £1. This campaign was promoted as the first Indian Visa sale.
The reaction was massive. People from large cities and smaller towns rushed to participate. Bengaluru showed the highest interest with 11.5 times by increasing visas applications. Mumbai had 7.8 times more visa applications.
Mohali and Surrat were not behind, with 6.4 times more applications than usual. Jaipur Visa applications were almost 5 times higher. Many Tier 2 cities also showed a strong participation.
A favorite travel destination
Among the destinations, the United States was the best choice for Indian travelers. South Africa was a surprising winner in terms of growth. The number of applications for South Africa jumped 22 times compared to normal days. Vietnam, Kenya and Hong Kong have also become a popular selection.
Interest in Bali 4.8 times more, 4.5 times for Vietnam, 4.2 times for Sri Lanka and 2.2 times for Dubai.
Millennials (aged about 27-42) led numbers and accounted for 50% of all users. The gene Z (people at the age of 20) followed 37%. Interestingly, 20% of visa applicants were international travelers for the first time.
Women usually chose destinations like the US and South Africa. They also chose Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
Men submitted 62% of all visa applications. They had more mixed preferences. With the exception of the US, they also chose Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa and SAE.
During the sale, new users on the Atlys platform increased 6.5 times. Most users applied during working hours, reaching a peak until 11:30 August 4. According to Atlys, the time required to apply for a visa dropped by 90%.
