Rotary Club of Bidar Silverstar has raised ₹ 30 lakh for education of underprivileged deserving students through Rotary Cricket Premier League (RCPL) Kalyan Zone 2.0 organized recently at Sainik School and BVB Campus, Bidar.

Organized under the theme ‘Educate a Child, Empower the Future’, the league tournament brought together two women’s teams and eight men’s teams and combined competitive cricket with social responsibility in the competition.

Royal Challengers Bidar emerged champions while Nirmaan Ninjas finished as runners-up.

Lauding the initiative, former minister Rajshekhar Patil said, “This is a great example of how passion for sports can be channeled towards a larger social cause like education.

He described the league as “visionary in intent and professional in execution”.

Rotary Club of Bidar Silverstar President Adhish R. Wali said the league aims to restore pride in the region.

“Bidar is not a backward district. It is a land of immense talent and potential. Platforms like RCPL help bring that confidence to the fore,” he said.

Club secretary Kiran Samuel attributed the success to teamwork.

“The mobilization of ₹30,000 was possible only because of the unity and commitment of Rotary members, volunteers, sponsors and supporters,” he said.
