Royal Challengers Bengaluru found a relaxed way to prepare for their clash with Delhi Capitals, with Tim David and Romario Shepherd spotted enjoying a game of gully cricket in preparation for the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The two RCB stars were seen casually hitting each other on the streets under the sun in Delhi, trading big shots and soaking up a bit of the city’s cricket culture ahead of the IPL match. Videos of the pair quickly went viral on social media and both players appeared to be enjoying the lighter side of preparations ahead of the crucial away game.
According to social media posts, David and Shepherd were said to be playing in and around the Vasant Kunj area, though India Today could not independently verify the exact location.

However, it was clear how much both players enjoyed the trip. David in particular looked at home sending one delivery with one of his signature clean hits, while Shepherd also chipped in with some powerful hits of his own. It was a short but entertaining look at two international stars embracing the casual side of cricket in India.
Key duo for RCB
The cricket cameo in the ravine was more than just a light hearted moment. Both David and Shepherd became important figures in RCB’s set-up, especially in the middle order where their power and finishing skills often made the difference.
The duo played a major role in RCB’s fortunes last season as well, helping the side to secure their first IPL title with decisive contributions in pressure situations. Their ability to change games with the bat quickly made them valuable assets in the lower middle order and that explosiveness was on display on the streets of Delhi as well.

RCB now turn their attention to a crucial clash against Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The two teams met earlier at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium where Delhi handed the defending champions their only home defeat of the season.
With the rematch now set in Delhi, RCB will look to respond. David and Shepherd could once again play a major role as Bengaluru look to level the scores and keep their title defense on track after their warm-up in cricket’s gully.
