Chief coach Rahul Dravid explained the decision to prevent Samson outside the travel group and provided the time of the Wicketkeeper-Bater recovery time.
“I think Sanja in the game against Delhi (capital) lifted a little side problem and couldn’t play the last match or this one. He wasn’t fit and our medical team didn’t clean him to play,” Dravid said on Wednesday in Bengalur.
“So we took the medical advice not to risk him with further traveling that would be more years of tension. We left him physics so we could treat him and try to get him as quickly as possible. We follow his recovery every day.”
