
Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak openly declared his love for RCB before the IPL 2025 finals in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3. Sunak is in India to support RCB when he persecuted his first IPL crown in Ahmedabad.
The former British Prime Minister said RCB considered its own team because of its ties to the city. Sunak also revealed that his sister -in -law gave him a RCB jersey when he got married and has been watching them since then, even supported them from Downing Street.

“I’m married to Bangalore, so RCB is my team,” Sunak said when he spoke to the Times of India.
“We went to the matches a long time ago and I encouraged them on Downing Street.”
Sunak revealed that Virat Kohli was his favorite player and called him a “overall legend” and mentioned that he had a signed bat from an Indian star that was a talented Indian Minister of Outside S. Jaisankhar during his time on Downing Street.
“T is one of my valuable property,” Sunak said of Kohl’s sign.
Sunak on Tuesday is not just about Kohl and hopes that England’s stars in RCB can help them get the title.
“I also hope that in a large post from the English contingent RCB – Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone – at least let’s go home,” Sunak said.
“IPL transformed cricket”
Sunak commented on the impact that IPL had on cricket, and said that all players wanted to be part of the IPL at some point in their career.
“IPL has transformed cricket. Every cricket, everywhere, wants to play in the IPL at some point in his career,” he says, remarks his developmental impact on English players. “I was in Edgbaston last week and watched England vs. West Indies. Jacob Bethell played brilliant shifts. IPL improved it as a player.”
