Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra has asked the Telangana government to inform about the BUDS (Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes) Act in the state.
The RBI Governor asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday. Mr. Malhotra, who was here in connection with the RBI board meeting, called on the CM in the evening.
He explained the initiatives taken by the apex bank regarding Unified Lending Interface (ULI) and also informed him about the ongoing Government Private Deposit Claim campaign.
The CM briefed Mr. Malhotra about the reforms initiated in various areas by the Congress government in the state. He briefed the RBI Governor on the reforms in the power sector and the decision to create a new distribution company to cater to the needs of government-backed categories.
Mr. Malhotra appreciated the Telangana government’s fiscal policy and wanted it to bring more reforms and progressive policies.
