
IAS officer Muddada Ravichandra took charge as the Chief Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Friday.
Muddada Ravichandra, IAS, took charge as the Chief Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Friday.
In keeping with ancient temple traditions, Mr. Ravichandra first offered prayers at the Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple and then proceeded to the Lord Venkateswara Temple via the Vaikuntham Queue Complex. He had the darshan of Lord Venkateswara after formally taking charge.
He also took oath as an ex officio member of the TTD board at Bangaru Vakili. The oath was taken by another executive Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary. Later the priests recited ‘Vedasirvachanams’ at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
Speaking to the media later, Mr. Ravichandra said he prayed for strength to serve the multitude of devotees of the presiding deity with dedication and devotion and thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the opportunity and ensured coordinated efforts with the TTD Board to improve pilgrim-friendly services.
Later he held review meetings with department heads at Tirumala and Tirupati.
