Former Indian cricket and head coach Ravi Shastri warned England that they could face the same fate as Australia after his victory in the third test against India with the Lord. England beat India with a narrow span of 22 runs in the third test and in the series took the lead 2-1.

England has failed to qualify for the WTC finals in the last two editions, but this cycle started positively and won two of the first three games.
