Rashtrapati Nilayam, Secunderabad, the president of India’s winter retreat, is gearing up to host the second annual Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav from November 22 to 30. Organized in collaboration with the Ministries of Culture, Tourism and Textiles, the cultural festival will be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu at 4 pm on November 21.
The festival will be open to the public from November 22 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., free entry. Visitors can register through the Rashtrapati Nilayam online portal, though on-site booking will also be possible.
This year’s edition will focus on the culture and heritage of India’s western region, including Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Over the course of nine days, the festival will offer craft and handloom exhibitions, regional culinary experiences, literary gatherings and a host of cultural performances, the release said.
