
At the unique music celebration, the Association of Musicians Mysuru Hindustani organized a rare nationwide music concert Hindustani 11 October from 21:00 to 6:00
In classical Hindustani music, specific ragay is traditionally carried out in specific times of day and night. Given that most concerts take place in the evening, music lovers have rarely have the opportunity to listen to Night Raga.
To revive and enjoy these pale nightlodies, artists based in Mysuru and a selected group of experts met to host this special event.
The program will be held in the “Swwaradhara” auditorium in the KSRTC layout here. Vocalists Veerabhadrayya Hiremath, Sharada Bhat Kattige, Shrimathi Devi and Ramesh Kolkunda will present voice recitals. Samir Rao (Hindustani Flute) and Chandan Kumar (Carnatic Flute) will perform instrumental music, the press release said.
There will also be solo tables from Bhimashankar Bidanoor – Panchami Bidanoor, Dundayya -ramesh Dhannur and Master Shaubhang Hebbar. Harmonium accompaniment will be provided by Shiram Bhat, Haikrishna and Ramesh Stolkunda, while Prithvi Bhaskar and Radheesh will support Vilin and Mridang.
Hindustani Music Assembly Hindustani have a long history. The famous Sawai Gandharva music festival was founded by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi in Pune traditionally continued all night. In Kundagol, the Sawai Gandharva festival still runs overnight for two days. Other prestigious celebrations overnight include the music segment of the Veereshwar Puryshrama in Gadag, the Music Festival Dover Lane in Kolkata, ‘Saptak’ in Ahmedabad and the “Harivivallabh” festival in Jalandhar, added edition.
