Florida-based rapper POORSTACY died Saturday, Nov. 29, following a medical emergency at the Boca Raton hotel where he was staying, according to multiple media reports.
The Boca Raton Police Department confirmed that the rapper, whose real name was Carlito Milfort Jr., died at the age of 26 after an “incident” at an address they chose not to officially release.
POORSTACY cause of death
A number of fan comments on the rapper’s social media profiles appear to suggest that he died by suicide, but authorities have yet to confirm this claim.
However, the Palm Beach Country medical examiner said the cause of death is still under investigation.
TMZ spoke with a Boca Raton hotel employee who revealed that the rapper was taken to a local hospital Saturday morning for a medical emergency. He lived in the facility for 10 days and checked in with his wife and toddler. There were no other reports of injuries at the hotel on Saturday.
