Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy at the Mega Parents teachers meeting at Mallur ZP High School near Rayachoti in Annamayya district on Friday.
Transport, Sports and Youth Services Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Friday (December 5) reiterated that the administration led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh is carrying out innovative reforms to bring government schools up to corporate standards.
He mentioned that the Mega Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting seeks to strengthen the relationship between parents, teachers and students to enhance performance. The meeting was held at the Zilla Parishad High School at Mallur of Chinnamandem mandal in Annamayya district. Mr. Ramprasad Reddy emphasized the importance of community participation in shaping the future of students.
The minister highlighted initiatives such as Dr uniforms. S. Radhakrishnana, improved mid-day meals through the Dokka Seethamma scheme, quality rice and an annual transport subsidy of ₹ 6,000 for students commuting long distances. He also mentioned that free bus rides and the Stree Shakti program contributed to the attendance.
Collector Nishant Kumar said joint supervision of parents and teachers will play a vital role in education reforms. He mentioned that grades 9 and 10 play a role in shaping career decisions and lack of guidance often leads to early dropouts. He urged parents to inspire children and help them stay focused.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister thanked the Collector for sanctioning ₹5 lakh for a new library in the school.
